Coral Howe

Coral began designing events early as the oldest in a large family. Her love of family and friendship has transferred to her business. She truly enjoys her clients, and works closely with each of them to develop lasting relationships. Raised in Alaska, Coral ventured “Outside” eventually settling on the East Coast. While there she worked as a private and corporate event coordinator. In the early 1990’s, she had the opportunity to work with Kate Edmonds, of Kate Edmonds Corporate & Private Events in New York City. She returned to Alaska in 1994 to be closer to her family, and continue her education. She began Occasions by Coral in 1996 to combine her love of color, design and whimsy with her passion for small business. Her specialty is creating casual elegance with a refined, rustic Alaska flare, but she loves designing ANY vision her clients can imagine. She acknowledges the support and involvement of her family, especially her daughter, Chloë, are a major factor in her success.

Chloë (Howe) Allen

Chloë has been at her mother’s side absorbing all that is required to create amazing events since before she could remember. She inherited her mother’s love of color and design. She is a stickler for detail. When she is not adjusting floral arrangements and working on invitation designs, she is keeping our clients and future clients connected on our blog and through social media. She brings the modern youth element to the design firm, staying current on the industry trends and what’s “hip”. Her nutrition degree qualifies her as the resident company “foodie”. Quite possibly her strongest suit is her uncanny ability to listen and gauge the feelings of others. Chloë’s warm, comfortable style creates a sense of calm with our clients, which is an invaluable quality at any event. She often assumes the role of personal attendant for the bridal couple. When she’s not working on events she’s creating beautiful smiles as a part-time dental hygienist. Chloë was formally added to the Company name in 2010.

I was out of state for most of the year leading up to my wedding. I went into the planning without a clue as to what color, theme, venue, or decor we should have. Coral helped me to figure out what I wanted, all of the details, and put everything into action. She was always available, even when I just needed to deal with the stress that comes with planning a wedding. My family appreciated all of her help and advice as well. The day of the wedding Coral and her staff took care of everything so that my family and I were able to enjoy being together. She truly helped. I had a stress free, eventful and VERY fun wedding. Coral and her staff really helped to eliminate a lot of the stress involved in planning a wedding. I was grateful to be able to call her with questions and ideas and have her take care of them.
